Mountain biking up lake como road

Post by GeorgiaTyler »

I searched the forum and didn't see too much info on this topic. Heading up the road this Wed. and i'm wondering how difficult the road will be on two wheels. I don't mind getting off every now and then to push, but is a bike more trouble than it's worth? I'm hoping not. Thanks in advance.

The entire road is large rocks. Motorcycles and quads have a difficult time. You would end up carrying your bike the whole way as I don't think you could push it.

I've hiked it twice, and the 2nd time I almost rode my Honda XR-200 but decided against it because of the thought of 3 hours on those rocks seemed unbearible.

The rocks are known affectionately as "baby heads".

They are difficult to walk on, and more so to ride on. Some have done it. Not me, it must be painful especially with my bike riding skills or lack thereof.

Call on God, but row away from the rocks.
