Walked the road from winter road closure. Ascended NE Ridge, descended NE face. Looks like late spring up there. The road has very little snow on it - nothing that would require snowshoes/skis. Higher on the road, there are a few patches of snow, but nothing significant. NE face/ridge is pretty bare, you could do most of it without even touching snow. No special traction needed. Took the shortcut through the trees while descending - thigh deep powder. Annoying, but short enough that I didn't regret bringing snowshoes. Despite the high mileage, this was only a 10 hour day at a fairly leisurely pace. Doesn't get much easier than this in winter.
