As posted on the forums, coverage is good but thinning at the top. Here's a YouTube video (condensed) of the couloir:

From across the valley the climb looks steep, so having a worthy second tool makes sense to me! Do you have a match to the Rebel for ice? They have a great swing and they stick well.

Choke

Hey Boggy, two questions for ya. How thin was that choke section and how much longer would you expect it to stay continuous? Also from the vid it doesn't look like there is anything continuous from the summit to the top of the chute, is that correct?

Thanks man, we're thinking about skiing it soon.

If it didn't get any new snow I would expect the choke to melt out sometime next week. Maybe 6-8” of slush to the rock underneath. I was making contact for about 10'-20'.

Nothing continuous from the summit unfortunately.

Enjoy!

How was the hike from car to couloir? Much snow in that basin?

Lots of snow

I'm pretty sure you could piece it together all the way to the car, and it appeared some people had recently done so.

The snow below treeline was just abominable in the afternoon though. Don't think it would support skis. Colder temps and an earlier exit, maybe. I hiked out around 2 pm after Tweto and Buckskin.
