Peak Condition Update | Mt. of the Holy Cross

Cross Couloir was too soft for comfort, felt more like winter snow than spring. I exited at 8:15 and would not have wanted to be in the couloir much later than that. Good snow coverage right now that looks like it will hold, I would wait a few weeks before trying this one.

summitridge	Road Conditions 4/23/2012 3:54pm I am planning to head up the cross in a few weeks. What is the condition of the road? I am getting my bike ready!
Cool Hand Luke	Re: Road Conditions 4/23/2012 9:02pm There are about 5 downed trees total that would be difficult to get a bike/trailer combo over, 2 before Tigawon cabin and 3 after if I remember correctly. If it doesn't snow between now and when you go I believe the road should be dry with a few snow crossings, but nothing deep. Also, in a few weeks mud shouldn't be as big of an issue, saw where a few bikes got bogged down earlier this year. Best of luck! Are you taking a trailer up and skiing down?
