Cool and foggy to for most of the morning with winds gusting to near 20 mph. Reached the summit around 10 AM and spent 30 minutes relaxing. Began the descent around 10:30 and the clouds finally lifted near 12. Shortly thereafter, a storm rolled in and began raining pretty steadily from 12:30 on. All in all, it was a nice hike. The forecast predicted a 60% chance of rain, but we were lucky and it held off until we were most of the way back to the car. The trail was in good shape, even in the rain. No obstructions on the path (except for a mountain goat) and the congestion was at a minimum (probably due to the poor weather forecast). |
