Where snow exists on the trail it is very packed down. Microspikes were used below and just above treeline as the snow is packed and slick in steeper sections. Beyond Devils Playground the snow is more sparse. The final push to the summit in the steep rock section holds snow in places. Snowshoes are absolutely unnecessary at this time. |
