2-6 inches of snow on N and E facing aspects. You might want spikes if you're not using poles. Especially going down. I carried mine but never used them. Poles were a big help to prevent slipping going down. Beautiful day. Maybe 25-30 mph winds on the summit. 50 degrees at TH. Probably around 30 at the summit. Doesn't get much better in November on Elbert.

I second the last post (we might have met on the trail! :-) ). Hiked up to Elbert on 11/10/2013 (via North Elbert TH), beautiful day and not much snow on the trail. Going up I did not need microspikes, but coming down there were nice to have on the steeper terrain. Hike up took 4h 15min and down a little over 3h.
Road is drivable still to the TH, snow in some places but nicely hard packed, easy to drive.
