Great day on Princeton. Just three snowfields left and we tried to pack/trench them well so the morning hardpack doesn't send you down the slope. My friend and a new friend accidentally took the old trail (I went ahead to Tigger) and it was horrible for them (possible rock slides). The site's GPX file hasn't been updated, so this still might happen. We saw another group do the same and warned them a little late. Just be sure to take the switch backs up, then the ridge to the summit. We tried to make the rock wall blocking the old trail more obvious and added a carin or two, but just be on the look out. Photo is the route from the top and it still looks like the old trail is the way to go, but don't!

I was wondering if a 2012 Subaru Outback could make it to the radio towers, if not, anywhere near it? I don't want to park at the lower trailhead to cut out a few miles. Thanks!

Considering I got my nearly 18 foot Mercury Grand Marquis with 5.5” clearance up a little past the towers (by accident, they're hard to see in the morning...or at least for us), I'd say yes. Its single track almost all the way, so once you start you're locked in. It took some maneuvering, but its not so much rocky as hilly where you could bottom out--I only hit my exhaust pipe. Also, if you go in the morning, the shadows of your headlights over the 'moguls' make them seem worse than they are.

The switch backs start soon after the third snow field, btws
