Winter conditions were in full effect on Princeton Saturday. We were able to drive past the radio towers though I suspect this may no longer be possible. Route finding through several feet of snow (at times) and talus made for a rough day. Recommend snow shoes and spikes. And make sure you're familiar with where the route veers off right from the road after the third switchback (from the upper TH parking area). We missed this and ended up way off route.

Trail veering off

During the summer, my brother, a friend, and I almost missed that area too. Basically, the 4wd road you're walking on goes back and forth across the SE side of Mt Princeton. You'll get to an area above treeline where the road traverses across the big SE shoulder of Princeton. Just as it starts to traverse.. that's where you turn off, going NW across a meadow area in the direction of the summit, before you hit all the talus. During the summer, there was a huge rock cairn at the turnoff. It might be snow covered now, though.
