Great snow coverage, but you can see remnants of older slides. Approach trail has very little snow. Creeks are raging and creek crossings are treacherous.

I was with the duo in the early morning. Were you the group we were behind then passed? The two who crossed the creek right in front of us? I made summit via and my buddy did not. when in the day did you ski it?

I only ask because

the snow was still quite firm on my descent at 9–10am and I didn’t see anyone up or heading up. That crossing was much easier in the daylight without ice on the logs huh.

Yeah, it was us. We skied it after Sayers. Snow held pretty well later in the day. We saw your tracks on the summit! Looked like very little snow on standard route except the ridge

yeah, that’s why we felt comfortable going for 2nd peak after Sayers, which we finished skiing by 10am. Deep freeze did some wonderful things for locking things up!

Nice job getting both down! All the snow was in solid shape thanks to the freeze. The standard didn’t hold much snow. It appears most of the slides have happened as I had to cross at least 4 wet slide paths, one with a huge rock slide just above the switch back gully heading toward the ridge. Thankfully the freeze kept what was left to slide all locked up. That standard route goes through quite a few danger zones. The ridge had some on it but way less than two months ago. Either way it was a great day to be up there alone.
