Hiked all 4 peaks Friday morning. Conditions overall very good, I did all 4 in hiking boots and no other gear with no problems. Democrat still has a bit of snow on it, but if you go early before the sun hits it, its firm and easy. The largest snowfields you can avoid too by staying on the rock. Only a few spots you can't avoid near the top, but again go early. The other 3 are 99% clear. Wildflowers starting to pop up too!

nkumar	trail head 7/4/2015 8:11pm thanks for the info. i assume you started from kite lake. how is the drive to the trail head? 2WD rental car would make it?
mbnat	Drive 7/5/2015 1:10am The road isn’t in great condition, but definitely passable. I have a 4wd car, but never actually needed to use it, was in 2wd the whole way, but i do have decent clearance. The road is good most of the way, just until the very top there are a few rough patches but if you take it slow and very carefully i think you could make it even with lower clearance. There weren’t any parts steep enough to require 4wd, but there were some bumps and ditches where good clearance was helpful. There were lots of cars at the trailhead that definitely didn’t have 4wd and made it fine. Good luck and enjoy!
