Hiked Bierstadt with friends who summited their first 14er today. Made more friends on the way up and down as I would estimate there were at least 200 people on the trail. Weather and trail conditions were excellent. Only hiccup for us was that we had to wait for about 30 minutes at US 285/FR 118 because of the ongoing construction. If you intend to head up Guanella from the south, be aware that the road is closed periodically during the day and you may have to wait. |
