Had only this weekend free to fit this in to our schedules. Watched weather for prior 2 weeks & lucked out in major way. Highs of 20s on summit with essentially no wind. Camped night of 1/2 near 12.5K feet. Windy that night, wind chill -13 but wind stopped by 8AM. Couple other groups coming down on our way up on 1/2. Only one other lone hiker on 1/3. We used snow shoes almost entire way, but boots only on way down road on way back (had melted off a lot from 1/2 --> 1/3). Not much post holing with flotation. Total round trip was ~8 miles, able to park 0.75-1 mile from Leavick Site.

How did the coverage seem for skiing? How deep/continuous?

Ski coverage

Not sure how deep. But not that deep. A little deeper towards the approach to the Sherman - White Ridge saddle where snow was dense and wind blown down from the summit. There were definitely some rocky areas to avoid (usually very obvious). Saw one skier on 1/2/16 who did not think the coverage was all that great yet. Seems like Sherman didn't get hit as hard with the relatively recent snow storms as some of the other areas in Colorado.
