Snow started patchy a little less than a mile to Lake Como, became constant and deep around the lake, bring some sort of floatation. Evidence of small wet slides in the area, get the weather right and there may be more. The hourglass was in great shape- about ideal conditions. There were a few bulges of ice that were easily avoided. The traverse across was spotty with snow, you can mostly rock hop or stay on the ridge. Be careful out there! |
