trail road was completely clear to the gate, which IS open, by the way. there were a couple patches of snow to cross on the way up to the summit, but otherwise great conditions. 2 good glissading spots to get down, but i doubt they will last much longer. i did not bring spikes, however, this was the only trip in my life i wished i'd had trekking poles for! started at 5am, summited at 7, 1-1/2 hours at the summit, and 1-1/2 hours to get down. |
