Headed up Humboldt on Saturday. The weather was beautiful and, as reported by others, snow was a non-issue. However, there is a lot of melt on the trail close to tree-line, obscuring the route in places. We had trouble finding the trail a couple times. Suggestion: on the way up, note the portions of the route that are flooded out so you remember the route on the way down. We were all novice hikers, though, so take this suggestion with a grain of salt if you're more experienced. |
