The trail was clear of snow up until the Sheridan-Sherman saddle. After that point, there was a very thin coating of frost on all of the rocks and the trail, and a lot more snow in and around the trail. The amount of frost/snow increased as I approached the summit. Despite the snow, I did not need any traction. The aspens in the area are definitely on the tail end of their peak colors, and given the recent weather I don't see the leaves sticking around for much longer.
