Went up the west ridge from the dam, then down the east ridge. West ridge approach has some deep snow before the saddle. We opted against flotation. Gaiters highly recommended. West Ridge proper has less snow, but enough to make things spicy in a few spots. Added crampons for the last bit. East ridge descent trail has a bit of snow, but still soft - not windscoured. Traction would be good, but not mandatory. |
