Surprisingly the road to Stevens Gulch remains drivable to 4WD vehicles. It is snowpacked from Bakerville so I would not recommend 2WD. Bakerville to Grizzly Gulch is snowpacked and well consolidated, plenty of room to park and turn vehicles around at the road split. 4WD recommended, clearance not required. From Grizzly Gulch to about 1/2 mile from TH the snow gets a little deeper and gets rutted, 4WD and clearance recommended though an Outback made it. One bad icy patch about a mile above Grizzly Gulch. The last half mile to the summer parking was blocked by a drift, but one vehicle busted through it later in the day. If you do drive the road be careful!
