Status Update
Trailhead is now (basically) bone dry for the first 2 miles. There are a couple of small snow patches just after the junction, but they are rapidly melting and should be passable by even low clearance 2WD vehicles. Intermittent snow patches start showing up about a mile from the summer TH but are easily passable with good clearance or 4WD. Snow starts to get heavier about .5 miles from the summer trailhead and you would probably need 4WD to get past. The last quarter mile or so is passable in a 4WD vehicle, but beware of slushy snow on the exit out. The only major obstacle is about 100 yards from the summer trailhead. I was able to get all the way to the summer TH without difficulty in a nissan frontier. The road is well grated and snow is rapidly melting. Summer TH will likely be accessible by any vehicle soon barring significant new snow.
