Road is very accessible and should no longer be considered 4WD. I drove our Honda Fit 3/4 of the way to the trailhead and any vehicle with average clearance should have no problem. There is only one water crossing of substance a couple of inches deep to worry about just short of the 4WD TH. There are now multiple pulloffs for those with concerns.
