Road passable by any car until about a mile below the Leavick site, as mentioned. After that there is moderate snow (less than a foot on average) until the summer trailhead. A 4WD with good clearance might be able to make it to the Leavick site, although there were no tracks in the current snow. The road is mixed snow and gravel to the gate near the Dauntless mine, with a large ice flow right before the gate.
