Made it most of the way up the 4WD road in the 4Runner. Obviously high clearance 4WD is required, but I did see a Subaru Outback that made it. Road was frozen/packed snow and dirt at 4 AM. When I left shortly after noon there was a good bit of snow melt and mud, but I never had any trouble. Just stay in the tire tracks in 4WD, take it slow and you should be fine.
