Drove my stock ‘88 Toyota 4x4 truck to within 100 yards of the trail head. I was in 4w low the entire time. Any AWD car can make it up there (an Audi and Subaru Impreza were both up there) but you HAVE to be experience in driving in steep, snowy, slippery conditions. The toughest section is the long hill that starts right at the Private Land sign, it gets pretty dug up right at the crest of the hill - just keep going and don‘t slow down. |
