Snow covered starting about 1/4 mile up the road until the very end. The winter closure ( which I guess is just a sign stating "End of winter maintenance") is where it gets deep. I broke trail through over a foot of snow with my Jeep Liberty all the way to about 2.3 miles before the Leavick Mine site. Higher clearance more aggressive vehicles may be able to get to 1.5 miles before the site, after that its legit 4 feet of snow. The picture is where we parked facing east. |
