I think a previous post about Guanella Pass from the north needs clarification. The road is closed just past the campground, which is ~1.5 miles down from the pass, so 3 miles roundtrip. And there are obvious tracks through the woods before the last switchback that avoid going to the parking lot itself. It‘s not that bad.
