Trailhead is mostly clear of snow all the way to the locked gate just below Dauntless Mine. There is some minor snow close to the gate but I believe a passenger car can make it. I had a 4Runner and made a track through 12 inches of snow on the uphill side. If you are not comfortable going to the gate, there is parking less than 1/2 mile from the gate that is snow free. At least as of this afternoon.
