Deer Creek Trailhead Trailhead

Location:  Front Range
Road Type:  2WD, easy dirt road 1   (0=Paved, 6=Very Difficult 4WD)
Directions:  From Denver drive southwest on US-285 towards Pine Junction. 4.4 miles after Pine Junction turn right on County Road 43 (Deer Creek Road). Drive 8.3 miles to the Deer Creek Campground, then another 0.8 miles to the Deer Creek Trailhead.
Winter Access:  The road is plowed to the Campground during the winter. High clearance, 4 wheel drive vehicles can make it the extra 0.8 miles to the trailhead.

2014-05-03 The recent snow did not make it difficult to get to the TH. Snow-free all the way to the parking area. Any vehicle can make it no problem. mikemalick  2       
2014-04-26 The summer trailhead can now be reached, but one small stretch requires high clearance vehicles. DArcyS
