 Kelso Ridge's Knife Edge

Ascent Party Exiled_Michigander and Stiffler_from_Denver
Time from TH to Torrey's Summit 3 hours 10 minutes

As an introduction to some easy class 3 scrambling in preparation for some Sangre De Christo climbing later in the year, we decided to climb Kelso Ridge to the summit of Torrey's. We left Denver around 4:45 AM which put us to the Steven's Gulch TH around 6:15. The dirt road leading all the way to the summer trailhead is in rough condition. Many climbers parked about 1.5 miles below the summer TH because of a giant pot hole, althought if you can get around the pothole, the rest of the road wasn't too bad. This report is meant to give climbers an idea about Kelso Ridge and to share video of the knife edge.

Yeah, this was a blast, wasn't it!? That helmet-cam video sure would've scared me away if I had seen it before however! Vertico, shmertico! That makes it looks 10x worse than it is! Good job!
