Left Friday evening for Buena Vista. Raining good but let up as we prayed for a camping spot close-ish to the trailhead. Cascade, Chalk Creek, Princeton campgrounds are all close together but small and mostly booked save for the one and only camping spot we grabbed as darkness fell. Roughly 4 decent tent sites up near the towers. Needless to say planning ahead for camping is... useful. Mt Princeton TH at 5:30am, summitted 1030, back at parking lot ~3:15pm.
Besides a few small hills to slow down for and a couple rocks the road up to towers was easily navigabe with fourwheel drive despite other reports that make it out to be a nightmare of a road. Narrow but several turnarounds (if people have not parked in them already). It rained a little as we left for home so road may be slightly altered.

Road is dirt only for short while, but most of the ascent if pretty rocky. The blue route is the main route. Pinkish line is the old route blocked off near the red X by a small rock wall. We got caught low decending before we realized we were on the old route. Have good boots and be careful of deceiving rocks that want to break your ankles. No need to pack heavy but have enough water as the route is pretty exposed which could be unforgiving if you don't beat the afternoon sun. Our early start and clouds helped make for a comfortable day and avoid getting caught too high in a bad situation. Have common sense, start early, and put your ego aside because weather changes fast up high. Getting rescued is not cheap.
Highly recomnend going to the Eddyline Brewery in Buena Vista for great beer and pizza! Turn right at the first stop light in town and follow the road until you hit a dirt road. There will be signs pointing you right towards the Brewery.
