With no partners fri I decided to go for something easy that would not burn my legs the for the remainder of the weekend. Democrat was the easy choice for easy vert and safe skiing.
Ski line seen at left of summit I hit the trail at 8am
There are other options in the emma lake basin that would have to wait for another day.
A mix of skining and booting put me at the summit around 10:30. The snow was def getting soft by the time I dropped. The summit was T shirt weather with no wind. I took a few photos, transitioned and skied towards "pinko" nammed by Stan Wagon. There was some walking to get to the line.
Tweto looking fun as well as Elbert beta for the next day. Box creek in but thin.
The ski line, hardly able to see turns due to exposure
Back at the car at 11 for quick morning in the Mosquito, and off to Elbert!
On Sunday I got out with a few buddies and skied a short shot off the Dem's south ridge. Hiking up the chute Pete and Chad Zenca

We hit that same line the day after you (Pinko) and saw your tracks. Didn't go from the summit but the skiing looked a lot better in that chute than the route that did.
