 Fletcher Atlantic Combo

Quandary Fletcher and Atlantic from Bald the week prior

This area usually skis well late and I anticipated saving it for later. Since we had just gotten a reset a few days prior and the choke looked good in light of benners recent TR, Tanner and I set out Monday morning for a tour from Blue lakes to McCullough Gulch. Tanner had skied Fletcher from Blue lakes solo a few resets ago and still wanted the Y after skiing the NE route. With a car dropped in McCullough we set out from a gate below the dam around 6:30.

Dem looking money for the diehards this season

We made the lower couloirs in about 2.5 hrs. This first set was rolled out, and the second was skied out. At the top in three hrs we were excited to see the Y was still fresh.

At the choke Tanner aired then straight lined out which was quite impressive. I opted to down climb which was kinda sketch as it turned to a jump with skis on my pack. Probably a good idea to not try an mimic everything this guy does out there.

The hike up Atlantic via the couloirs lookers left of the V luckily was still firm enough to hike, and we were on top of Atlantic at 11:30 Dropping in at 12 the top was great as well as the first half of the couloir. The bottom was a little rolled out but super soft!

That looks like a great couple lines, and Tanner looks like a beastly skier, if only he wore a helmet. Nice job, those were some pretty sketch, but scenic couloirs, well done!
