 South Ridge via Cataract Gulch

Just wanted to add a link to some photos with brief descriptions from my personal website. Not very many trip reports on this peak, so I hope some find this helpful. Roach's 13er guide holds pretty true. I would only change one part of his description. He states to leave the trail at the smaller lake beyond Cataract Lake. I found by staying on the trail that turns to the right you can stay on trail until you reach the south slopes route. This is much easier than trying to side hill it over to the south slopes. Here is a link to the website and a few teaser photos.

So that was you! Nice running into ya up there! Beautiful place. Did you see the moose? Your picture of the frozen waterfall came out MUCH better than mine.

No moose siting for me. Looks like just me and you up there for a while.

I climbed Half in the middle of summer, so it was nice to see it in very different conditions. Great pictures. I love this time of the year in the San Juans.

I wonder if the couloir in your fifth pic is named. Looks good.
