 My First 14'er Hike (video)

On the morning of 1/19/13, me and my buddy Tom set off to hike/climb/snowshoe Quandary Peak. This would be my first 14'er and Tom's first Winter 14'er. Only being in Colorado for 1 week, I probably should have thought wiser (the elevation kicked my ass) but we got it done. Here's the documentation of that hike.

.....that since the video is titled ” My FIRST 14er hike” there are more to come. Congratulations and welcome to a brand new world.

First 14er in Winter (well, ”winter”) is quite an accomplishment, just from a discomfort-tolerance point of view. I've no doubt you'll succeed on many others. After this, you'll find 14er-ing in the summer to be blissful (which I suppose it is, anyway).

Yes, I will be tackling more 14'ers. I know it's more of a fake winter here this year, but I figured now it'll make the spring/summer/fall hikes a little better from a traction point of view at least (we didn't have microspikes). I will check out that video, thanks for the kind words guys!
