Sunset from the Divide - Grizzly Peak

This one took me a few weeks to process all the photos and write-up. I've been super busy lately with work and photographing a wedding/etc.

This was a pretty fun solo adventure into the west Sawatch to tackle Grizzly. Thanks to the other trip reports on this site which helped me make my decision on which mountain and route to use.

As usual, I have the Full Trip Report on my website, and here are a few teaser images:

I really liked this hike - lots of solitude, scenery and some decent route-finding. I highly recommend it. Just don't down-climb in the dark like I did...

I was able to get a really insane photo of the Northern Lights - a first for me.

Grizzly's East Face can be seen from 82 leadville side, somewhere around twin lake as I recall.

In some of your past reports, I thought the photos were a bit much for my eyes...but I really enjoyed these. Nice work!

I can't imagine descending that route in the dark with an extra 20 lbs on my back

Glad to see you were able to get away from Payne Farms and do some shooting. Love the shot of the Three Apostles.
