nice TR. I was on Sherman with a split–board on Saturday and ran into somewhat similar weather (without the electrical component).
Stupidly went off–route thinking my ski crampons would give me enough grip to go straight up the face..

Anyway, the Angle of Shavano is on my list..
Thanks for some motivation!

Just to give you an idea of how lucky you got, I was driving down the east side on Monarch Pass about 1:00 PM that day. Got caught in a brief, but heavy rain/wet snow storm with a couple rumbles of thunder. I actually recall looking up at Shavano and thinking it could suck to be up there. Storm must have missed you somehow, but the clouds looked super threatening. Glad you were OK !
