 La Plata- NW Ridge

On our way to the summit, my friends and I had a run in with a bear and in our rush to get out of the area, I lost some of my gear including snowshoes, trekking poles, rei water bottle, sunglasses etc. We were about 3 mi from the trailhead, past la plata gulch and up the main road, right at the first set of small switchbacks. My gear is probably still down the hill, to the right of the trail. If anyone happens to stumble upon my things, I would be incredibly grateful if you could let me know so I can get it back. Thanks!

I think you will reach more people and have a better chance of getting your stuff back by starting a thread in the forum. I also think this is important news for everyone to know and, again, more people will see it in the forum.

Glad your ok.

Since this is not a trip report, please move it to the "Lost and Found" section of the forum if you wish to have it on the site.

Sorry about your gear and I’m glad you weren’t attacked!
