Static Peak and Middle Teton - GTNP Wyoming

I'm an Easterner from MD, and while I have hiked and done lots of sports my whole life, at 52 I decided I really like long hikes and making it to gorgeous summits. So, after doing some fun East Coast hikes, I decided to try a couple of hikes in Grand Teton National Park. I attempted the Middle Teton and successfully summited Static Peak.

After my Teton hikes I was even more enthused about hiking (although I now think I'm a badass so I call it mountaineering ;) )... so I started poking around more and found 14ers.com!! I, like I'm sure anyone reading this, fell in love with this site and the all the great people and information about these great mountains available here!

So, I've decided I'm going to Colorado for an extended time period next summer to hike some 14ers!! (Sorry, I have read many trip reports and do understand I will only be adding to an already overcrowded scene in many places, but what am I to do?... not go?... not gonna happen!! )

And in the mean time, because I see the excellent way so many of you put these trip reports together, I tried to do my own reports of the two mountains I hiked in The Tetons!

Thanks and hope they are useful and within the realm of what a trip report should be. Below are links to the two reports:

Very cool pics - brings back great memories for myself on Static as this was my first 'real' summit other than anything in the southern Appalachia back in the early 90s.

Nicely constructed reports w/ great pics. Always thought it would be fun to do a "doable" Teton and it looks like you had a great time! Also, at least on my interface, the links are not "hot" - had to cut/paste. Not sure if it's just me or if that's what you intended but some folks might skip the report if not "clickable".

... work for me. Nice, nice report - ditto what Lville wrote - it would be cool to do one of the Tetons. I have been fascinated with that range since I was a kid. And knowing that Brandon cut his teeth on Static puts that one on the list for sure!
