Spanish Creek. For 48 hours it remained untouched this winter until a brave and unsuspecting foursome went to work during the wee hours of Christmas Eve. By noon we weren't even approaching treeline. Very well done on the climb and your report. Entertaining, and liked the two old school movie quotes.

Skiing

After being mocked constantly last year, I've given up on skiing above the treeline in winter and just treat my skis as snowshoes on steroids. Skis were parked at the bottom of the South gully and I didn't regret that at all.

Great photos and report, Dillon. Still, no avenue? 8)

I saw a bunch of pretty pictures, but really, all I really took out of this TR is that you owe me two waters. Nice grunt, yo.

Jay - You the man. Thanks! Just trying to not fall of the wagon this tax season.

Liv - thanks for reading! Agreed. Also gives me a good reason to see willow lake in the snow someday.

Alexey - thanks! Conditions were a little rough for skiing. There was enough cover in the gully, but the snow was bulletproof a lot of the way. Natalie slummed it with me after treeline.

Shawn - haha. thanks man! Yo, bartender, Jobu needs a refill.

Doug - thanks! yep, exactly. I paid for it this week though!

Danny - haha. There's a few other criteria! like being one of 3 people on 14ers with 2 million vert per year. Ward does gives you bonus points though. You also need to know the 10th rule of mountain club. Most people don't number 9, so you're getting warmer.

Eric - thanks! Great to hear from you. Been too long man!

Natalie - you don't need no stinking skis! And apparently you don't need an Avenue to get Challenger. Nice work!

Ryan, yo - stay thirsty my friend. When we finally sit down for these beverages, it's going to be a wild party. We should bring Steph. I hear she'll out drink all of us.

We had a Shawshank Redemption and Major Leagues quote in one TR, impressed. Nice work out there.
