Pikes Peak via Crags Trailhead - July 3

Solo hiked Pikes Peak on July 3. Started at 9:15AM & reached summit at 12:00 PM. Took the easy way off the mountain as the family met me at the top. Trail was pretty nice and very few hikers. The portion between 11,000-12,500 or so was the most strenuous for me. Started getting cloudy shortly after I arrived at the summit, which was okay with me because the summit was a beehive of vehicular summiters and we did not want to stay long. Cars or no cars, Pikes is a beautiful hunk of rock. Saw one marmot but no bighorn sheep. Bills photos were extremely helpful at key stages on the trail.
