 Southwest Ridge with Gemini

Started at 9:15 from below the Leavick site to get 3000, however I forgot my topo so we ended up starting too high. Didnt know it until we got home that night, blast! Road open to gate. Trail is mostly clear of snow. Slight variation of route by gaining saddle closer to Sherman to avoid snow slopes. Dont follow the washed out gully which leads nearly to the summit as this bad for the mountain and you. Instead traverse southwest above the snowfields to gain the saddle. Ridge is easy with little snow. Summit at noon, headed over to Gemini and back. Snow flurries and strong winds accompanied our descent. The glissading off the saddle is still worthwhile. Returned to car at 3pm. Nice and relaxing day.
