Good, short hike. Didn‘t see a soul the whole time until I reached the top. The Lincoln Amphitheater was a cool place to have to myself, and I couldn‘t resist a couple of whistles to see if the amphitheater was really an amphitheater. The headwall was easy to find a route through, just stay away from the falls. The route becomes muddy and slippery. The rest is a piece of cake. The relative obscurity of this route makes it worth it in itself, and I had fun by myself, as always (not like that).

Thanks for the trip report....thinking of doing this route in a week or so but perhpas adding on a trip to Bross from the top....what are your thoughts on this? Want to get a sense of distance and time....looks like this would only be 7 or so miles but I can‘t quite tell how strenuous.
