Total trip time - 5.75 hours
As far beta on time goes (for those of you who compare against my time on other routes) this was not an ideal day for the ascent as I was the first one up the mountain and the weather was less than cooperative. Above 12000‘ it turned to snow/hail and visibility was down to 50‘ at times. This made the route finding a little challenging and took the Class 2 work at the summit ridge to Class 2+. It was actually fun to be exposed to near-winter-like conditions, as I knew that the temps would likely only be rising throughout the hike. The weather cost me about 30 minutes on the ascent (for route finding issue above) and as I had to stop to make 2 outfit changes (I shed clothing after it stopped raining around 11000‘ & then had to don everything I had at 12000‘ when it started with the blowing snow).
The descent was around 15 minutes longer than usual as I took the time to respond to each one of the 7-8 groups of hikers still making the ascent, as above 13900‘ was not visible & everyone wanted to know what the conditions were like above. So under ideal conditions I could have made the trip in around 5 hours.
