Left TH sign-in @ 6:10 am and attacked the switchbacks with a vengance(well,at least I was steadily moving). One hour later,I put the trees in my rear view mirror and picked my way though small snow fields to begin steep ascent trail onto ridge. Well defined trail of switchbacks, intrerupted by small areas of snow, that continually became steeper until 4 1/2 hrs later (having been passed by a bevy of people) I reached the summit.
The clouds were ever rising as I watched them on ascent. The summit has tremendous views. 1/2 hr on summit and began a gravity assisted descent(again passed by a bevy of people). Started raining/hailing while in the trees. Return to TH @ 2:15pm or so.
Great hike! Met Zoomie 83 up there and getsomepottery @ Oxford/Belfort/Missouri TH.
