 Bierstadt- Bierstadt Trail

We took note of the great weather, and took advantage of the opportunity to climb Bierstadt while we still had the chance to do so without snow shoes. Left Boulder around 6 am, and arrived at the trailhead around 7:45. Our departure time was around 8 am. The trail was still in great shape, with only a few icy spots through the willows and some knee high snow drifts after the first bench. Also, some snow was in the direct route on the final summit pitch, but like all other snowy spots, it was easily avoidable. It was very cold and windy on top, but it was 100% worth it and the east face provided great cover for us to enjoy.

Nothing more satisfying...A much better way to spend your time than watching college football all day

while i agree with your last comment about climbing rather than watching college football, I was beyond pleased to see Notre Dame lose to another military academy and go 1-9 for the season. That makes my millenium, f**k the Irish. Good to see you a had a solid day though.

It was nice meeting you on the ascent. You should have done the Sawtooth with us. The wind calmed down, it warmed up, and it was...simply...incredible!
Cheers!
