Kit Carson OB couloir- Ski descent

Mark, Brittany and I skied this route on a cold and windy day. 15 hours door to door via the Willow Creek approach.

I did a more complete Tr on my blog. The entry is here:
Here's some photos, at least:

Absolutely love the view of Crestone Peak! That northwest couloir sure is filled in with snow right now ... About 20 years ago, when we did the Needle to Peak traverse (in the fog), we descended that couloir and it was a definite ”air up the pantleg” experience. Thanks for sharing!

I did that ski descent three nights in a row....

then the next several nights my nightmare changed to one where I was decapitated by a muscrat ninja. The second dream was more pleasant.

Way to get a hard one done, I‘m pretty jealous of you having the Sangres done.

I‘m in awe of those awesome shots! Except the PBR pic. You and Jordan make that stuff look so easy ... but I know there‘s a lot of art and skill behind those climbs/ski descents. Well done.

JC- Yeah, I‘m really glad to have the Sangres behind me, tough to get snow on those routes.

Sarah- glad you‘re OK. FWIW, I think that the Cole couloir on KC is much more aesthetic than the OB, think about doing that one instead.

The PBR shot- the trees just seemed to say ”climb me”, so I did, with my beer, and mbsc took the photo

Its one of the 3 snow climbs I'd really like to do this spring - no skiing for me though!!! Thanks for the TR and pics. Hopefully it will be in good shape when I can start getting out again.

this is amazing, only better way to cap off the day would be to replace that PBR with a High Life. Incredible photos, made my tues morning.
