Sunscreen and sunglasses not needed, plenty of moisture, a 100 waterfalls and about 1000 or so of your closest friends. The Pony Track is busy, we passed at least 200 people including the same group of 30 Indians (from India of course) going up and coming down.
Look at the above link for the ridge pictures as our pictures along the ridge only showed about 50 feet ahead with the clouds settled on us.
You cannot see the other subsidiary peaks along the ridge - Carn Mor Dearg and Carn Beag Dearg in our pictures.

My wife and I really enjoyed the trip and I had to get in a hike. Scotland is very nice. The dogs were very well trained and the one dog in the center area was only 14 weeks old and working.
We were out in that area a few summers ago but we didn‘t get to hike it. We opted for Mt. Snowdon in Wales instead. Same weather you had, and the same sheep.
