well you said you were gonna give this a shot a year ago and now its done, nice work. Looks like you guys made more of your day than I though, with Keller and the 12er.

I agree that descent sucks. I don‘t remember the steepness as much as the monotonous switchbacks and the ”TH is probably just around this next corner” syndrome going on, only to find its another mile or two. I remember finding my bike, it wasn‘t stolen, but the wheel was bent, so that made for a fun ride back to Bighorn Creek. I also remember running into 2 girls, one was horribly dehydrated and needed for me to call SAR when I got back to help her out. Very random indeed.

Regardless, this was one of the most memorable experiences I‘ve had in the mountains, thanks for bringing them back and solid TR with solid pictures of the landscape and scrambling sections. Seems like winter is lurking around the corner.

Great job, Kevin. I‘ve studied that traverse but just haven‘t made it there yet. Coming down into Bighorn seemed to take forever when I came off Keller!

For those of you reading this report, the GORES are impossible and you should never go there.

When climbing in that area, I took a panorama of the ridge. Click on the photo for a larger version and feel free to use it if you like.

Super route, Kevin; glad the weather held out for you! One of these eons I‘ll actually get into the Gore range...
