PT 13,832 via Silver Creek TH

Beta:
* The 4WD road is snowy but easily driveable to Silver Creek TH (and beyond, probably all the way to American Basin, or close)

* There's continuous snow from the TH to the Redcloud saddle, though slowshoes were only required from 12-13K.

* Sherman Climb appears to be IN and safe from the usual avy hazard (and got climbed Sunday). PM me for a hi res image.

Short TR:

I drove to Lake City Saturday morning and then put a track in to tree line that afternoon. No one had signed the trail register for 2 weeks so I was on my own for breaking trail.

After an invigorating night of car camping (-2 degrees F), I hit the trail a bit before 7AM. A few sets of coyote tracks followed my previous afternoon's track.

The snow got pretty deep at 12K and I wore my snowshoes from there to the Redcloud – UN13832 saddle.

It was windy as heck from the saddle to the summit, but summit views of the San Juans were well worth it. The summit register was placed in '06 and hadn't been signed for 2 months, not something you see on a 14er!

Following my track out made for a speedy descent and a round trip time of 6.5 hours.

Appreciate the pics. Winter condition bagging in the San Juans gets respect.
