Some of those pictures at ”midnight” are otherworldly, literally. It looks like you are skiing in Middle Earth.

Important question though. How do you find the time, with work and all, to do something like this? I'm both jealous and curious. Can't imagine it'd be cheap either, I have a somewhat similar trip penciled in for the Spring 2011 in the PNW and am trying to get perspectives on logistical planning.

Regardless, this gets my brain working big time.

We did a pretty good job of getting sponsors for most of the extra gear on the trip. Last year was a convenient time to make a trip like this happen after my ”big kid job” disappeared with the economy.

Well played. Sorry to hear your job disapeared, mine and 750 others at my prior company did the same back in the beginning of 09, lined us up like sheep and handed out severence packages like xmas bonuses. Gotta make the most of it, to say you did would be an incredibly vast understatement. I imagine if you were ever "audited" by the department of labor, or whoever checks up on the unemployed, you could say you were looking for jobs around the country and found "some free time" to enjoy the scenery.
